Mr. J is a First Grade Filipino Teacher at Bailey Charter Elementary School, Reno, Nevada. He went to Philippine Normal University-Visayas, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, Philippines, where he earned his Bachelor of Elementary Education degree. He has Complete Academic Requirement in Master of Arts in Natural Science taken at the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. Mr. J has been a first-grade teacher, multi-grade teacher- third through tenth grade, and second-grade teacher in the Philippines. He has been in the service for nine amazing years prior to teaching here in the United States in 2023. Currently, he is serving young Americans for three consecutive years. Mr. J outside the school setting is an out-going person, funny but respectful. He is family oriented and God fearing. He loves to do creative things related to Arts, loves to play volleyball and badminton. Fun fact about him, he loves to sing, dance and do karaoke in his leisure. What motivates Mr. J as an educator is the thought of changing the world one kid at a time. He wants to continue serving and honing young minds with the hope that one day, somehow, there will be no kid left behind. Lastly, he wants to send a message of hope to everyone, as a teacher in a Title I school and as a person who experiences the wrath of poverty back in his country, your dreams are always valid, your voices are heard, and you are seen.
