Kindergarten Teacher

If you had asked me years ago what I wanted to be when I grew up, I probably would have said an accountant! I've always loved numbers. There was something so satisfying about following the clues, solving the puzzle, and knowing there was a reason every number belonged exactly where it did. That passion led me into accounting, where I earned my degree along with many certifications in taxation and had the opportunity to work in both private accounting and at one of the area's largest law firms. I loved the challenge, the organization, and yes...I was the person who got excited when everything balanced perfectly! Then life gave me my greatest adventure: becoming a mom. After my son was born, my perspective shifted. While I still loved accounting, I realized my heart was pulling me in a different direction. I thought back to the teachers who had shaped my life and to the ones I wished I had growing up. I knew I wanted to be that safe, encouraging adult for children—a teacher who helps every child feel capable, valued, and excited to learn. So, I returned to school, earned my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, and began what I truly believe is my calling as a kindergarten teacher.

My classroom is built on kindness, curiosity, laughter, and the belief that every child can learn when they're met where they are. Watching children gain confidence, discover new skills, and celebrate their own successes is the greatest reward I could ask for. I will be working toward my master's degree so I can continue growing as an educator, but I know one thing for certain: my heart belongs in the kindergarten classroom.

I can't wait to partner with families to make each child's first school experience one filled with joy, wonder, and a lifelong love of learning.
