It is my great privilege to serve as the Director/Principal of Bailey Charter Elementary School, where our mission is rooted in fostering a learning environment where every student feels a strong sense of belonging, connection, and purpose. With over 32 years of experience supporting youth in schools and community organizations as a school psychologist & educational leader, I bring a deep commitment to the well-being and development of every child. My background as a helping professional informs everything I do. Whether working alongside teachers, collaborating with families, or connecting with students, I approach each day with the belief that relationships are the foundation of learning and growth.

At BCES, we are committed to educating the whole child. This means balancing rigorous academic instruction with opportunities that support social-emotional development, creative expression, and physical wellness. Through music, art, physical education, and integrated learning experiences, our students are encouraged to explore their passions, take risks in a supportive environment, and develop the confidence that comes from a growth mindset. We believe learning should challenge, inspire, and empower every child.

In our community, we strive to create a place where everyone wants to be. We envision a school where staff are excited to come to work, students feel motivated and safe to learn, and families are welcomed as active partners in our school. Together, we nurture a culture of curiosity, inclusion, and high expectations—ensuring each child has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
